Project Brief

Create templates for Star Wars: Episode 9 digital advertisments.

With the anticipated release of the final episode of the Skywalker Trilogy, Star Wars was releasing cross-category products at Target. The project was presented to two separate design firms as a challenge to see who could create the ‘best’ layout options for the client, and win bid to create six versions of advertisement layouts.

Process

1. Initial layouts.

The client provided a Star Wars: Episode 9 style guide to help inspire the creative layouts for the project bid.

2. Design review.

We delivered our first round of creative to the client and presented the designs to senior creatives for additional feedback. We received minimal creative feedback for the layouts that we presented.

3. Layouts.

Our team won the bid to complete all versions of layouts for the cross-category Star Wars product. After 8 rounds of feedback, mainly focusing on copy edits, we shipped off the designs to the client.

Results

We won the bid to design all ad creative for the project.

The client was extremely pleased with the initial template options that we provided and we won the bid to create the layouts for the Star Wars: Episode 9 cross-category products available at Target.
